Getting started

This guide explains how to sign in to PeerCards, set up your profile and subscribe to a course and an assignment.

  1. Open the sign-in page with the Log in button at the top right.
  2. Choose one of two ways: - Accedi con Google (sign in with Google): use your Google account, no password needed. - Email (or username) and password, then Sign In.
  3. If you have no account, click Sign up below the form: you need an email and a password. If you forget your password, use Reset it.

The sign-in page shows the notice By signing in you accept our Privacy Policy: the Privacy Policy link opens the full policy.

If your session expires while you work, PeerCards sends you to the sign-in page: sign in again and reopen the assignment from the dashboard.

Set up your profile

Open Profile at the top right. Here you can:

Then click Save.

Enter your real first and last name: classmates search for you by name when they form groups, and without a name they only see your username or email.

Subscribe to a course

Your teacher gives you a course link. Open it (sign in first if needed): you are enrolled in the course and land on the dashboard.

Subscribe to an assignment

There are three ways, depending on what your teacher gives you:

In every case you are subscribed to the assignment (and to the course, if you were not enrolled yet) and you land on the assignment lobby, where you form your group. See Groups.

Only students can subscribe: a teacher account is refused.

The dashboard

For each course, the dashboard shows:

Each assignment shows its deadline (Due). If the teacher makes evaluations visible, you also see your grade and the link to the evaluations: see Grades and feedback.

If you are not enrolled in any course, the dashboard shows You are not enrolled in any courses yet.
